Bio

I have achieved results in the not for profit, local, state and federal government sectors, and enjoy working with teams (be they front line, managerial, or leadership) and individuals to assist them to reach their potential and their goals. I'm now working in the private sector and enjoying it tremendously - working across multiple sectors.

My goal is to build a mindful presence and awakened state into my life and work. I’ve numerous passions and a broad range of life and professional experiences that have built my dedication to and ability in capacity building and making a positive difference in the world. Although a lover of knowledge, I seek ways to practically integrate experience and information from across differing fields into my work and life. I enjoy helping those I work with to achieve results by using their experience and passion. I have been characterised as one who seeks to bring out the best in others and one who will make sound, informed, pragmatic and ethical managerial and leadership decisions with an ability to persuasively lead teams to higher performance.

I’m interested in developing leadership capacity, in helping individuals, groups, and society as a whole find ways to enact positive change. My main interest is in how people can realise their ‘wholeness’ – how they can awaken their inner strength and desires and interests and feel empowered from within. I have additional interests in: building sustainable social structures, community engagement, conflict resolution, universal ethics, ‘steering’ society toward sustainability and ethical governance, empowering communities to build the capacity of their leadership in sustainable ways. Outdoor and experiential education and wilderness appreciation (I’ve led numerous wilderness trips across a variety of terrains / environments with all manner of groups, as well as personal expeditions that included an over 6000 km solo trip across North America). I am also deeply interested in insight meditation, cognitive psychology, learning design, mindfulness, Vipassana, and Aikido.
